The Stingray is a fascinating ocean animal with a wide, flat body that looks a little like a pair of underwater wings. Stingrays glide gracefully over the seafloor by gently moving their large fins, often searching in the sand for small fish, crabs, shellfish and other tasty morsels. 

Many stingrays have colouring and markings that help them blend into the sandy ocean floor. Their eyes sit on top of their body, while their mouth and gills are underneath. Some species also have a defensive spine on their long tail, which they use to protect themselves if threatened. 

With its broad fins, long tail and beautiful blue spotted markings, this Schleich Stingray is perfect for creating underwater adventures or adding to a growing collection of sea creatures.
