About Us

We are a small family run business, hidden away in the Waitakeres Ranges, west of Auckland.

All our in stock products are in our Auckland warehouse and ready to send. We never drop ship!  

After the birth of our daughter Cora, I was looking for a way to bring in some income while staying at home with her. Before she was born, I worked at the Auckland Zoo, and loved the realistic animal figures I would admire when I walked through the zoo gift shop everyday.

I came across a bulk lot of brand new figures from a store changing its focus and decided to start a little website. We quickly built an amazing community of collectors from all walks of life, who often talked to me about the struggle to get access to these figures, without having to purchase them internationally.

With my family pitching in, helping with posting orders, sorting stock, and running after our now 7 year old, we decided to bring the biggest range of these figures together into one kiwi based website.  Welcome to Animal Kingdoms!

We are passionate about these figures, every new shipment is met with excitement. We love to hunt down those rare and hard to find items for our collectors and wait with anticipation to see the latest releases.

While we built Animal Kingdoms with an initial focus on three brands for the first two years of business (CollectA, Papo and Schleich), our focus changed in 2020 due to the Covid19 pandemic. We decided to fast track plans to diversify from Animal figures to a bigger range of high quality toy brands.

We proudly introduced six new brands in 2020: Safari Ltd, National Geographic, Ravensburger, Playmobil, Sylvanian Families and Siku. This was closely followed by Jurassic World, Pokemon and How to train your dragon lines.
