Pravitoceras was an extinct cephalopod, part of the ammonite subclass, living when dinosaurs roamed Earth. Its coiled, chambered shell was likely ridged or grooved, aiding buoyancy and navigation in the ocean. Like other ammonites, it probably had tentacles and a beak-like jaw to catch prey. Pravitoceras, along with other ammonites, became extinct about 65 million years ago.
