Did you know that baby seals are called "pups"? These adorable little creatures are born on land, but within hours they are able to swim in the ocean and begin exploring their new surroundings. Pups rely on their mothers for protection and nourishment during their first few weeks of life, but they quickly learn to fend for themselves and can swim up to 20 miles per hour by the time they are a few months old.
