Sea lions are social and playful marine mammals known for their intelligence and agility. They are often found sunbathing in large, noisy groups on beaches or rocky shores. Unlike seals, sea lions have external ear flaps and their hind flippers can rotate underneath their bodies, enabling them to move surprisingly well on land. They are also fantastic swimmers, using their large front flippers to propel themselves through water at speeds up to 25 miles per hour!
