The leopard gecko is a small, colorful lizard recognized for its distinct, spotted pattern and friendly nature. Native to the rocky deserts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northwestern India, this gecko thrives in arid environments where it spends its nights hunting insects. 

Its vibrant yellow body with dark spots gives it the ‘leopard’ name, while its soft, bumpy skin and large, expressive eyes add to its unique charm. Unlike many lizards, the leopard gecko can’t climb smooth surfaces due to its clawed toes, but it makes up for it with an inquisitive personality and a hardy nature that has made it a popular pet worldwide!
