High in Ethiopia’s mountains lives the Gelada, the only primate that feeds mainly on grass. Known as the bleeding-heart monkey, it has a red chest patch that signals dominance and attraction. 

Geladas move in a comical shuffle while grazing and communicate with a wide range of calls that almost resemble human speech. The  Gelada is shown in an aggressive pose, baring its teeth and holding its body in tense readiness, as if about to attack. Capturing the wild spirit of this remarkable mountain primate.
