The Andrewsarchus, named after explorer Roy Chapman Andrews, is known from just a single massive skull found in Mongolia. Despite having limited fossils, it's considered one of the largest terrestrial mammalian carnivores that ever existed. Just imagine a mammal with a skull longer than that of a modern-day lion!
