The Chincoteague Ponies are world famous. They descend from the survivors of a shipwrecked Spanish galleon off the coast of Assateague Island (Virginia/USA). The annual round up of these wild ponies, known as Pony Penning, features the ponies swimming across Assateague Channel at low tide and is a popular tourist attraction. The CollectA model comes in a Chestnut Pinto colouring.

CollectA’s Chincoteague Pony Chestnut Pinto is an impressive sculpture of the special wild-bred horse. While these ponies typically have smaller stature, they are considered intelligent and willing to please. This horse model is painted predominantly white, with brown patches on its rear, chest and head, with a white blaze on its forehead.
