The Oviraptor is a dinosaur that had a surprising secret: it was likely a caring parent! Despite its name, which means 'egg thief', recent discoveries suggest that this dinosaur might have been misunderstood. Fossils have been found showing Oviraptor parents crouching over nests of eggs, much like modern birds do when they're protecting or warming their eggs. 

It's quite possible that the Oviraptor, which lived around 75 million years ago, was actually a devoted parent, keeping a watchful eye on its nest and ensuring its little ones started life under the best care possible!
