Hunting lionesses are the primary hunters in their pride, responsible for providing food for the entire group. They are skilled hunters, able to run at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour and take down prey much larger than themselves, such as zebras and buffalo. When they're not hunting, these lionesses spend their days grooming each other and lounging in the sun.
