Related to horses and rhinoceroses, tapirs tend to reach lengths of seven feet and stand three feet tall, weighing up to seven hundred pounds. Wearing short coats of red brown, gray, or black, adult tapirs raise young, wearing striped and spotted coats for protection.
Fun Facts: Tapirs have four toes on their front feet and three on the back ones.
