Sloths are arboreal mammals are known for the extreme slowness of movement. "Sloth" is being related to the word "slow" and it is so named because of its very low metabolism. Most of their lives sloths are hanging upside down in the trees of the tropical rain forests of South America and Central America. 

CollectA chose the three-toed sloth to be the model figurine. Despite this traditional naming, all sloths actually have three toes on each rear limb (and the two-toed sloths have two digits on each forelimb).
