Despite commonly being grouped with dinosaurs, the Pteranodon was not a dinosaur at all! It was a flying reptile known as a pterosaur. With a wingspan that could exceed 20 feet, Pteranodon was like the airplane of the prehistoric skies. And, interestingly, it didn't have teeth; instead, it had a long, pointy beak which it possibly used to catch fish while soaring over ancient oceans.
