The guitarfish isn't just strumming along in the ocean – it's a fascinating blend of both shark and ray! Its body shape resembles a guitar, with a flattened front like a ray and a more elongated back half resembling a shark. This unique combination isn't just for show. The guitarfish uses its ray-like head to rummage through the sand for its favorite prey, like crabs and small fishes, while its shark-like tail gives it the boost it needs to quickly chase down prey or escape predators.
