The Carcharodontosaurus, whose name means "shark-toothed lizard," was one of the largest predatory dinosaurs that ever lived. It roamed Africa during the Cretaceous period, around 100 million years ago. With razor-sharp teeth that could be up to 8 inches long, similar to the fearsome teeth of a great white shark, this dinosaur was a top predator in its ecosystem.
