Alamosaurus was a massive, long-necked sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago, in what is now North America. Despite its massive size, Alamosaurus was a gentle giant that likely fed on plants high in the trees, as suggested by its incredibly long neck.

Interestingly, Alamosaurus is one of the few sauropods known from the Late Cretaceous of North America, a time when sauropods were much more rare on the continent compared to earlier periods.
