Mapusaurus was a giant carnivorous dinosaur that lived around 100 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. This massive predator, closely related to the famous Giganotosaurus, stretched up to 33 feet long, making it one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs known. Fossils of Mapusaurus have been found in Argentina, and evidence suggests that these powerful creatures may have hunted in groups, possibly allowing them to take down even the gigantic Argentinosaurus!
