Flamingos typically gather in flocks of hundreds, and their vibrant pink color comes from a diet rich in plankton and shrimp. Without these nutrients, their feathers can turn white! Interestingly, the feathers underneath their wings are black. Additionally, flamingos are known to steal nests from each other, necessitating vigilant guarding by the birds.
