The Polacanthus was a herbivorous dinosaur, covered in armored plates and spikes for defense, roaming the earth during the Early Cretaceous period. Its name actually means many thorns owing to the numerous spines and scutes that adorned its body. These adaptations likely helped Polacanthus fend off predators and survive in its environment. It’s believed that this dinosaur, with its formidable defense and plant-eating diet, would have been quite a sight, ambling through the prehistoric landscapes!
