The Baird's tapir is the largest land mammal found in Central America. Despite its size and somewhat elephant-like appearance due to its trunk-like snout, it's actually more closely related to horses and rhinos. This unique snout is very flexible and is used to grab leaves, fruit, and small branches from trees, helping them feed in the dense forests they inhabit.
