Excalibosaurus was a unique marine reptile that lived about 180 million years ago during the Jurassic Period. Its name, inspired by the legendary sword Excalibur, hints at its most striking feature: its unusually long, sword-like snout! This ichthyosaur used its extended jaw, lined with sharp teeth, to swiftly strike at its prey, mainly fish and squid, in the ancient oceans it called home.
