Liopleurodon was a mighty marine predator of the Jurassic seas. Despite its portrayal in some media as being the size of a jumbo jet, most estimates suggest Liopleurodon was actually about 21 feet (6.4 meters) long. Its four massive paddle-like limbs suggest it was an agile swimmer, perfect for ambushing prey in ancient oceans.
