The Lufengosaurus was a dinosaur that lived around 200 million years ago in what is now China. One of its most fascinating features is that it was one of the first dinosaurs discovered with preserved skin impressions! This rare find gives scientists an invaluable glimpse into what this dinosaur’s skin might have looked like—likely a pattern of scales, not too different from some reptiles today. Imagine a creature as long as a school bus, covered in intricate, textured scales as it roamed the prehistoric world!
