The nilgai, also known as the blue bull, is the largest antelope in Asia and can be found across the Indian subcontinent. With a name that translates to 'blue cow' in Hindi, it’s interesting to note that male nilgai have a distinct blue-grey coat, while females and young are brown. Unlike most antelopes, male nilgai have a short mane but lack the typical antelope horns; their horns are short and straight, adding to their unique appearance!
