The Red-Eyed Tree Frog has vibrant green skin, blue streaks, and striking red eyes. Even though they are brightly colored, they use their big red eyes as a defense mechanism. When asleep, they tuck in their legs and close their eyes, blending in with the green leaves. If a predator approaches, they suddenly open their eyes and show their bright colors, startling the intruder and giving the frog a chance to escape.
