Found worldwide in warm, shallow waters, the bull shark is arguably the most infamous shark species. Because of their aggressive nature and presence in both fresh and salt water, the bull shark has recorded the most attacks on humans.

  • Safari Ltd Model 422429
  • Recommended Age: 3+
  • Size in cm: 15 x 6.3 x 4.8 cm
  • Size in inches: 5.91 x 2.48 x 1.89 inches

Bull sharks are far from the largest shark species, but they are amongst the most dangerous. Although it’s important to remember that shark attacks are exceptionally rare regardless of the species, bull sharks are responsible for a large portion of reported bites. They are known to swim up fresh water rivers and estuaries, particularly in South America, Africa, and India, and as a result encounter humans much more often than other types of sharks.

  • Scientific Name: Carcharhinus leucas
  • Characteristics: Bull sharks earned their name in part due to their broad, stocky body, but also for their unpredictable and aggressive behavior. Like all Safari wildlife figurines, this individually hand painted model was designed with scientific accuracy in mind.
  • Size and Color: 5.75 inches long and 2.25 inches tall, this model is about the size of a soda can resting on its side. Similar to many shark species, bull sharks have gray backs and white undersides.
  • The Bull Shark is part of the Wild Safari® Sea Life collection.
  • All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free.
