The mysterious Sub-Antarctic Killer Whale, also called the Type D Orca, is a strange type of Orca that may represent a unique isolated population of these large cetaceans, or an all new species altogether. Recent studies indicate the unique features of this type of Orca may be due to a lack of genetic diversity.
