The Australian Shepherd, affectionately known as the "Aussie," is a highly intelligent and energetic breed, but here’s a twist, they're not originally from Australia! Despite their name, the breed was actually developed on ranches in the western United States. 

These dogs are exceptional herders, known for their versatility and trainability, making them excellent companions for those with active lifestyles. They also possess striking coat colors and patterns, including merle, and often have distinctive, expressive blue eyes!
