This model was not made available to NZ and Australia retailers and has been special ordered for our enthusiasts and collectors. 

Because we have ordered this model directly from Germany at retail and shipped using a 3rd party, the overall cost involved to special order this model was much higher then normal, due to this the pricing is higher then our standard models. 

The American Saddlebred mare by schleich carries her head and long tail very high, as is typical for this horse breed. In the past, American Saddlebreds were used as riding and driving horses by the American settlers. Today they are mainly used as show horses. Some not only master step, trot and gallop but also the slow gait and so-called rack gaits. Both are pleasantly soft, four-beat movements.
