Spots - The Sugarbush Draft is an interesting cross breed mixing a draft breed with an Appaloosa breed. The outcome is a beautiful multi tasker, not shy of draft work and at the same time elegant and smooth enough for saddle work or fox hunting. The descent of an Appaloosa is clearly shown in the CollectA model and yet, the whole body physis is very different from that.

The Sugarbush Draft horse is a new American breed. The first foal was born in 1999. Originally bred as eye-catching carriage horses for The Sugarbush Hitch Co. in Ohio, today breeders strive to produce versatile, loud colored draft horses. The breed is suitable for both riding and driving and has a gentle personality.

CollectA Malayan Tapir 88881

CollectA Malayan Tapir 88881

Measurements: 9 (L) x 5.5 (H) cm
                             3.5 (L) x 2.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Early 2020

The Malayan tapir, also called the Asian tapir, is the largest of the five species of tapir and the only one native to Asia. The animal is easily identified by its markings, most notably the light-colored patch that extends from its shoulders to its rear end. The rest of its hair is black, except for the tips of its ears, which are rimmed with white. This pattern is for camouflage; the disrupted coloration makes it more difficult to recognize it as a tapir, and other animals may mistake it for a large rock rather than prey when it is lying down to sleep

CollectA Black Panther (Leopard) 88890

CollectA Black Panther (Leopard) 88890

Measurements:  12.8 (L) x 7.5 (H) cm
                               5 (L) x 3 (H) Inches

Expected release: Early 2020

With the Black Leopard CollectA again introduces a figurine that is not often found in real life. What we mostly know of a Leopard is the typical colouring for the ground-colour of the fur being a rich golden-red tan, abundantly marked with black rings, enclosing one or two small spots within. However, the CollectA Black Leopard belongs to the 11% that are melanistic Leopards living in the wild.

CollectA Sloth 88898

CollectA Sloth 88898

Measurements:  8.4 (L) x 8.1 (H) cm
                               3.3 (L) x 3.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

Sloths are arboreal mammals are known for the extreme slowness of movement. "Sloth" is being related to the word "slow" and it is so named because of its very low metabolism. Most of their lives sloths are hanging upside down in the trees of the tropical rain forests of South America and Central America. CollectA chose the three-toed sloth to be the model figurine. Despite this traditional naming, all sloths actually have three toes on each rear limb (and the two-toed sloths have two digits on each forelimb).

CollectA Mountain Gorilla

CollectA Mountain Gorilla 88899

Measurements: 7.6 (L) x 8.1 (H) cm
                             3 (L) x 3.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

The Mountain Gorilla belongs to the family of the great apes. The fur of the mountain gorilla is longer and thicker than that of other gorilla types. It enables them to live in colder climate. The fur colour is black, whereas older males show a silver-grey colouring at the lower back, thus the name "silver-back". A very nice interpretation from CollectA is the burly body type that is so typical for gorillas.

CollectA Komodo Dragon

CollectA Komodo Dragon 88900

Measurements: 11.9 (L) x 4.3 (H) cm
                             4.7 (L) x 1.7 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

The Komodo dragon is an endangered species of monitor lizard. It is native to some Indonesian islands east of Java. It is the world's largest lizard, growing up to 3 meters and over 70 KG (!) in weight. It's known for its ability to kill prey with its septic saliva. A truly scary creature which you do not want to encounter in the wild.

CollectA Puffin 88895

CollectA Puffin 88895

Measurements:  6 (L) x 5.5 (H) cm
                               2.4 (L) x 2.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

Puffins are a type of pelagic seabird  that feed primarily by diving in the water.  They have a brightly coloured orange-red large beak; it is their most obvious identifying feature. All puffin species have predominantly black or black and white plumage and a stocky build, nicely interpreted with the CollectA model.

CollectA Black Widow Spider 88884

CollectA Black Widow Spider 88884

Measurements: 14 (L) x 2.8 (H) cm
                             5.5 (L) x 1.1 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

The Black Widow Spider is a spider that -with its similarly called relatives- is broadly distributed. It can vary widely in size and many can have red, white or brown markings on the upper-side of the abdomen. Some can be readily identifiable by reddish markings on the central underside abdomen, which are often hourglass-shaped. Those details are nicely worked out in the CollectA model. These small spiders have an unusually potent venom, which causes pain, muscle rigidity, vomiting, and sweating. Female widow spiders have unusually large venom glands and their bite can be harmful to large vertebrates, including humans. Despite their notoriety, those bites rarely cause death or produce serious complications.

CollectA Centipede 88885

CollectA Centipede 88885

Measurements: 18 (L) x 3 (H) cm
                             7.1 (L) x 1.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

Centipedes (from the New Latin prefix “centi” (hundred), and the Latin word “pes” or “pedis” (foot). Centipedes (which includes Millipedes and other multi-legged creatures) are elongated metameric creatures with one pair of legs per body segment. Most centipedes are generally venomous and could inflict a painful bite, injecting their venom through pincer-like appendage known as forcipules.

Despite the name, centipedes can have a varying number of legs, ranging from 30 to 354. Centipedes always have an odd number of pairs of legs. Therefore, no centipede has exactly 100 legs. Similar to spiders and scorpions, centipedes are predominantly carnivorous.

CollectA Toy Poodle 88880

CollectA Toy Poodle 88880

Measurements: 4.2 (L) x 4.2 (H) cm
                             1.7 (L) x 1.7 (H) Inches

Expected release: Early 2020

We are enlarging our cats and dog line by the Poodle this time. Poodles are a group of formal dog breeds, the Standard Poodle, Miniature Poodle and Toy Poodle. They all bear the same characteristics, just the size is different. The CollectA model shows a Toy Poodle.

The origin of the breed is still discussed, with a prominent dispute over whether the poodle descends from Germany as a type of water dog, or from the French Barbet. Ranked second most intelligent dog breed the poodle is skillful in many dog sports and activities, including agility, obedience, tracking to herding, circus performer and assistance dog.

CollectA Tyrol Grey Cattle 88901

CollectA Tyrol Grey Cattle 88901

Measurements:  12.8 (L) x 8.1 (H) cm
                               5 (L) x 3.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

The Tyrolean Grey is a typical alpine cattle breed from Tyrol in Austria and South Tyrol in Italy. This cattle produces excellent milk quality in particular considering the tough feeding conditions in the Alp region. The decoration on the CollectA model has been nicely worked out with a greyish fur colour all over the body and white patches around cheeks and nose.

CollectA Bajadasaurus pronuspinax 88883 1:40 Scale

CollectA Bajadasaurus pronuspinax 88883 1:40 Scale

Measurements: 35 (L) x 10 (H) cm
                            13.8 (L) x 3.9 (H) Inches

Saltriovenator - Deluxe 1:40 Scale with moveable jaw, found in Northern Italy in the Early Jurassic period , 199-197 million years ago and lived in an ancient beach environment. It was a carnivorous dinosaur and its name means 'Saltrio hunter' and was announced to the public in 2018. It was an ancestor of Ceratosaurus that CollectA issued in 2018. It is only the third Italian dinosaur found and the second carnivore. It is believed to have grown up to 8m long and is the largest known carnivore of the early Jurassic era. In line with a new theory we have given this model of the carnivore lips.

CollectA Baryonyx 88872

CollectA Baryonyx 88872

Measurements: 19 (L) x 7 (H) cm
                             7.5 (L) x 2.8 (H) Inches

Expected release: Early 2020

A theropod dinosaur of the spinosauridae family that lived in Britain and parts of Europe in the Early Cretaceous Period, about 130–125 million years ago. It is likely to have been semi aquatic and a fish eater although the bones of a young iguanodon were found within the stomach of the holotype (or original specimen) proving that it either killed or scavenged land prey. Discoveries on Britain’s Isle of Wight suggest that the animal had a longer vertebrae than are usually restored and would have formed a back ridge. This model in the CollectA popular series replaces the original model in the popular series that is now long out of date.

CollectA Fukuisaurus 88871 1:40 Scale

CollectA Fukuisaurus 88871     1:40 Scale

Microraptor was a small carnivorous winged dinosaur from woodlands of China that lived in the Early Cretaceous 120 million years ago. Its name means ‘small one who seizes’. It was one of the smallest non-avian dinosaurs at only 1.2 m (3.9 ft) in length and had long flight feathers on the legs as well as the wings. It is believed that it was capable of powered flight as well as gliding. Some species had black iridescent feathers which the CollectA model has uniquely attempted to replicate. CollectA has specifically been asked to make this model by an important museum in China that houses the original fossil and it has been approved by them for its accuracy

CollectA Protoceratops with Movable Jaw 88874 Deluxe 1:6 Scale

CollectA Protoceratops with Movable Jaw 88874 Deluxe 1:6 Scale

Measurements: 24 (L) x 11 (H) cm
                             9.4 (L) x 4.3 (H) Inches

Expected release: Early 2020

A small herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous era around 83-70 million years ago that measured some 1.8 meters (5.9 ft) in length. It lived in the dry and arid regions of what is now Mongolia and China and its sharp beak and teeth helped it cope with the dry and tough vegetation on which it fed. The neck shield is believed to have been for species recognition or display in mating ritual. It varied in shape between individuals and the reason for this variety is not fully understood. Protoceratops was preyed on by velociraptors. The model has been made with an articulated beak and because of the animal’s small size it has been made in 1:6 scale. Some people believe that fossils of protoceratops gave birth to the idea that the mythical beaked griffin had once existed.

CollectA Caviramus 1:2 scale (with movable jaw)

CollectA Caviramus with Movable Jaw - Deluxe 1: 2 Scale 88886

Measurements: 32 (L) x 21 (H) cm

Expected release: Early 2020

One of the best known and loved sauropod dinosaurs, Diplodocus, lived 154-152 million years ago in the Late Jurassic era. It inhabited the area now known as Mid-Western North America. Its name means  'double-beamed reptile' in reference to the double beamed chevron bones located in the underside of the tail, which were then considered unique. Its extremely long tail is thought to have been used as a whiplash and defense against such
predators such as Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus with whom it shared its world. Species of Diplodocus ranged in size from 27 to 33m in length. A very popular model since its first issue, CollectA has now decided to produce a new colour scheme for its rearing diplodocus at the request of several fans.

Megalodon (Big tooth) a huge shark of the Early Miocene to the Pliocene era c. 23-3.6 million years ago that grew to 18 m in length. It possessed over 250 serrated teeth of four different kinds arranged in five rows in its mouth and inhabited waters in Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Australia. It most commonly occurred in subtropical to temperate latitudes. Found in many marine environments from shallow coastal waters to deep off shore seas. It is thought to have been one of the largest and most powerful carnivores to have ever lived. Its teeth could crunch through bone and it probably fed on whales and other large prey. The model has an articulated jaw.

Orthoceras, meaning "straight horn", was one of the largest cephalopod
nautiloids with a long conical shell. They, too, were carnivore and lived in
the Middle Ordovician 470-458 Million years ago in the seas that are now the
Baltic States and Sweden.

CollectA Redlichia Rex Trilobite

Expected release: Mid 2020

Trilobites are a group of extinct marine arthropods that resemble modern-day horseshoe crabs and are related to modern crustaceans and insects. Just very recently paleontologists have unearthed fossils of a giant trilobite species that lived in ancient oceans of what is now Australia approx. 540 million years ago.  This discovery of the Redlichia rex trilobite gave CollectA the idea to create the corresponding model figurine. The creature disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian period, about 252 million years ago.

CollectA Pleuroceras Ammonite 88902

CollectA Pleuroceras Ammonite 88902

Measurements: 11.9 (L) x 7.1 (H) cm
                              4.7 (L) x 2.8 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

In the past CollectA have had requests from a highly reputable prehistoric museum and dinopark to come up with replicas of fossils and prehistoric marine life. CollectA created a little group and we are happy to present:

Pleuroceras that are small ammonites with a particularly beautifully ribbed shell with a serrated keel running around the outside. The meaning is "ribbed horn" and they were fast moving carnivores that lived in marine waters of what is now the UK, Algeria, Austria, France, Germany, Spain and Canada in the Lower Jurassic 189-183 Million years ago.  Shells of different species can reach up to 140mm in diameter

CollectA Horseshoe Crab 88905

CollectA Horseshoe Crab 88905

Measurements: 15 (L) x 3 (H) cm
                              5.9 (L) x 1.2 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

In the past CollectA have had requests from a highly reputable prehistoric museum and dinopark to come up with replicas of fossils and prehistoric marine life. CollectA created a little group and we are happy to present:

Horseshoe crabs live in marine and brackish water. Their popular name is a misnomer, for they are not true crabs. Given their origin 450 million years ago, horseshoe crabs are considered living fossils. The entire body of the horseshoe crab is protected by a hard carapace. They have a sword-like tail and several sets of eyes which are a million times more sensitive to light at night than during the day. They are carnivorous creatures feeding on worms, molluscs, sometimes crustaceans or even small fish when searching on ocean ground.

CollectA Nautilus Pompilius

CollectA Nautilus Pompilius

Measurements: 10 (L) x 6.5 (H) cm
                              3.9 (L) x 2.6 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

Nautilus (meaning sailor) was once thought to be a living fossil. Nautilus pompilius, also called "the chambered nautilus" is now considered taxonomically very different from ancient ammonites, it is actually a grouping of tens of different species of nautilus under one name. It has been recognized as a threatened species.  Good enough reason for CollectA to create a model figurine. Nicely carved out the suckerless tentacles and
counter-shaded shell.

CollectA Belemnite 88904

CollectA Belemnite 88904

Measurements: 10 (L) x 14.3 (H) cm
                              3.9 (L) x 5.6 (H) Inches

Expected release: Mid 2020

In the past CollectA have had requests from a highly reputable prehistoric museum and dinopark to come up with replicas of fossils and prehistoric marine life. CollectA created a little group and we are happy to present:

Belemnite, meaning "dart" or "javelin", they were a free swimming squid-like creature with a long bullet shaped body and a hard internal skeleton called a guard.
